Meet the 3rd Grade Team
We, the 3rd grade team, just want to welcome you and your child to our class. We are looking forward to working with you and your child this year as we have many exciting lessons, activities, and field trips planned incorporating our quarterly themes!
In our classrooms, our goal is to promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. This year we will be using the TRIBES learning communities model to support this goal. We value cooperation and collaboration both in and out of the classroom. We believe that great things can happen when we work together!

Meet Mr. Slack, our Language Arts Teacher:
Hello, my name is Jeremy Slack, and I am originally from Cortland, NY . After high school graduation, I joined the United States Army where I was a Police Officer and Mental Health Specialist, until January 2007, when I was honorably discharged. While on active duty I received numerous achievement awards and medals for my hard work, self-less service and dedication. Since exiting the Army, I graduated from SUNY Cortland (2010), with my degree in Childhood Education (grades 1-6), and Grand Canyon University (2013) with a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. I also have an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, am a certified Field Traumatologist from Florida State University. During my down time, I bowl professionally on the Professional Bowlers Tour, and enjoy playing the game of golf.
